I’ve been thinking of traveling to the Pacific Northwest for a few weeks now and even mapped out a plan of where I wanted to go and decided this last weekend that I would change my initial plan to travel the entire northwest to just a weekend getaway to Jackson Hole. Unbeknownst to me, Jackson Hole was sold out for the weekend! I didn’t realize this until I had already booked my AirBnB in Victor, ID which is just 20 minutes from the resort. What was I to do? Well, on Friday night, as I was contemplating where to go, I decided I would get up super early and drive the 3 hours from where I was in Idaho to Big Sky, MT! And from there I would decide where and what to do next. Needless to say, at the moment I’m writing early Monday morning from Sandpoint, ID which is just 30 minutes from Schweitzer Mountain which is where I plan to ski today. From here… who knows where I’ll go… I’m only about 6 hours from The Summit at Snoqualmie and then from there a couple hours to Crystal Mountain. I might as well at least get a couple more resorts checked off my bucket list! As it stands, I’m just taking it day by day… little did my lovely wife know I wasn’t kidding when I said to her before I left… ‘I’ll be back in as little as 3 days, and as long as 10!’ Ha ha! She’s such a good sport to support her husband who likes to go on a ‘walk about’ every now and then.

coffee shops when I travel to catch up on email (they seem to have the best wifi) and just
enjoy the atmosphere there. You coffee lovers know what I’m talking about!
I had a fun time in Bozeman, Saturday afternoon thru the evening. Ate some southern fried chicken at Roost then walked down main street after checking in at Jason’s Place to check out the arts and culture of Bozeman. I had to grab a slice at Tarantinos Pizza then had my vacation ice-cream at Sweet Peaks! Added to my ‘bucket list’ to come back and stay at the historic ‘The Bozeman’ hotel and catch a show at the famous ‘Rialto’ theatre. And a special ‘Thank You’ to the late Sage Lindsay (not sure who you are) for reminding me that ‘It’s a good day for a good day!’
